About AquaClad®

The unique design of AquaClad® ensures that it is structurally sound and able to withstand the pressures exerted by the storage of large amounts of rainwater, yet still able to be assembled on site. Unlike traditional slimline tanks, AquaClad® is packaged and delivered in a flat-pack format and assembled on site. As long as a person can access the area where you want the tank - and you have the required width and length, you can build your AquaClad® in situ on a level concrete pad.

The AquaClad® is made from galvanised steel and the finish can be galvanised metal that will weather like traditional metal tanks or it can be powder coated to any one of the full range of Colorbond® colours. It is lined with a layer of geo-textile fabric and then a layer of potable grade flexible PVC.

Any pump can be hooked up to the 25mm outlet pipe on the tank so that the water can be used for irrigation or reticulation back into the house for toilets, washing machines or wherever you want to use it.

The AquaClad® consists of:

  • A rugged interlocking steel frame made and folded from single piece sheet steel
  • Corrugated steel panels providing additional structural strength and traditional Australian water tank aesthetics
  • A steel lid system ensuring your stored water is safe and secure from outside elements
  • A light protected inlet mesh that acts both as a strainer and also prevents light from entering your tank (eliminating light is critical to preventing algae in your water tank)
  • A PVC liner accredited to the Australian drinking water standard to ensure the quality of your stored water is not impacted by any of the materials in the tank. This means that you will not get any taste or smell from the PVC liner in your tank
  • A standard 90mm overflow that will allow surplus water to be taken to storm water
  • A 25mm tank outlet fitting and metal ball valve
